Jess Peterson spoke with the MUGC Royals wide receiver Prince Coleman after the game.

JP:  Congratulations on being nominated as the Round 1 MVP for the MUGC Royals; what are your thoughts on the game?
PC:  It was a hard fought game by both sides. I felt like we had a chance early in the game but we couldn't capitalize on the early Monash mistake. They're one of those teams that will keep fighting and fighting and they showed their championship pedigree.  It was probably the best thing for us, but we had a lot of growth as a unit and only positive things to come.

JP:  What were you aiming for this week?
PC:  I just tried to beat my guy and give our qb a target.

JP:  What areas of improvement are you still looking for in your game?
PC:  I missed a block or 2 this game so I'll be making sure I'm in a better position in future situations.

JP:  What is your biggest challenge this season?
PC:  The biggest challenge this year with such a young group of guys will be staying disciplined.  Football is such a mental game and if we can stay focused all game we will be successful.

JP:  What was the best advice you were ever given?
PC:  The best advice I was ever given was to "always be prepared" that way when an opportunity presents itself you'll always be ready.

JP:  Where do you draw your inspiration from?
PC:  I've been playing football since I was 7 so it's always been so much fun for me, I've always had the love for this game.

JP:  What goals have you set for yourself this year?
PC:  This year the goal is very simple, help get these guys to the Vicbowl by any means; if I have to play offense, defense, and special teams all game I will.

JP:  Is there anything else that you would like to share or people to thank?
PC:  We had a few mis-cues, but the offensive line did a great job at the weekend's game.
